Two of my dearest friends got married this last month, on the SAME weekend. It was so awesome to see both friends (Kiara and Camry) so happy. I was MOH for Kiara's wedding and got to assist her in getting ready for her wedding day! She was such a BEAUTIFUL bride. I adore this girl, and Sam (her husband) couldn't have found a more perfect girl in the entire world!

So many sweet and amazing friends come down for Kiara's wedding. I love these girls with all my heart. It was so fun to reminisce with them about EA and to catch up on what they are up to these days. It warmed my heart so much to be in the company of so many stellar woman who I can call my friends!

Anything Pumpkin!

That time of year has come and gone, the one that starts the Holiday season. I have a love hate relationship with this time of year. I love the pumpkin, I love the boots and scarves (ha!), I love the apples, I love the festivities and I love the togetherness that begins during the month of October. I strongly dislike the scary stuff, the ghosts and scary movies, the monsters and the deranged people who come out during Halloween. I am a clean and fun, happy go lucky Halloween girl! :)

To start the season off right we went to Disneyland for Halloween time (mentioned in my previous post). Then we finished the season off strong with the Annual Pumpkin Carving at the Lambs house.

I tried to carve the Mockingjay from Hunger Games. I really nailed that one, what an embarrassment.

I have had a super fun time these last few weeks! I have had the chance to host a Bridal Shower for my bestie Kiara who is getting married at the end of this month, head to Disneyland a couple of times, and just enjoy some time off from work! It has been so refreshing and I feel motivated and prepared for the Holiday season!

So, for labor day weekend my Mother, sisters and I tried to make plans to get our bums to the beach. Of course things never work out the way we want them too and I had to work Saturday and mom had to take care of the irrigation saturday night. Being the Disney fans we are, we decided to watch Newsies that Saturday night. It was great. I love me some Jack! (Christian Bale at his finest!) I couldn't help but sing along and have myself a grand time just dancing with them newsies. We all fell asleep on the couch. Sunday morning rolled around and my mom wakes me up from a dead sleep and tells me to get a swim suit and pajamas and that we are headed to our beloved Solana Beach! YAHOO! We hoped into the car and made our way to one of my lifelong favorite spots. I love that town, I love Fletchers Cove and I love the ocean! I couldn't wait.

We got to Solana Beach and hurried to the condo and put on our swim suits. We scurried on down to the beach and found that it was FREEZING. So cold. I was kind of disappointed that I was a weeny and couldn't hack the cold, dreary San Diego weather OR the crowded beach. So we stood on the beach access and tried to decide what action we were going to take. Do we suck it up and try to have a good time on the beach? Do we head back to the condo and watch TV? (because who doesn't drive 6 hours to just go watch tv? I mean COME ON! )

Oh no, not when Randa is your mother- she asks "Well, do you want to go to disneyland?" and I responded - "Uhhh, do you even need to ask?"

I love disneyland, OBVIOUSLY. The greatest part of our adventure is that we didn't even bring any clothes because mom just told us to pack pajamas and a swim suit. So we stopped at target to get dressed and made our way to the happiest place on earth!

We had a grand time! We got to ride all of the rides we love, try some new rides and of course get our selves some yummy treats! I am so in love with the Dole Pineapple Whip! DIVINE!

Hair Hair and more HAIR!

Last Tuesday Mother had me help her with Mia Maids Mutual. We decided that we would have a "how to hair" lesson. So, I packed my bag full of pins, elastics, hairspray, beach spray and teasing comb. I showed the 14-15 year old girls how to style there hair into the following styles.

Beachy waves! Love this easy style... I wear it so much and taught the girls how to do it too. They were excited for this tid-bit!

My little brother, as many of you know, is serving a mission in Boise, Idaho. He is working hard, but having fun. Last week he sent me a letter, and it was the best thing I have received in long time! It is amazing how the Lord uses those around us to help us through our life. The letter was encouraging to me and I think when Elder L was writing it was encouraging to him. I am SO proud of my brother, and I am also so grateful for his example. I can't believe we are on the downhill count! He'll be home in 11 months! :) CRAZY! We are getting excited!

We went to Hawaii, and it was a blast! :)

I love that Island and it has been so depressing to be home.

Once upon a time I went to EAC (eastern arizona college). It was a blast. I found these pictures and decided to put them up for journaling purposes. I forgot how much fun I had there and realized it was the great people I was surrounded by! What a good time! So here I go, recapping some highlights of the two years I was there going to school!!!

This was actually a trip home from EA, it was someone's homecoming from their mission BUT I love these two a bunch! Bryan and Megan were good friends who would visit us at EA. :)

Matched/Hunger Games

I read Hunger Games last year just in time to read the whole series when Mockingjay came out. It was so bomb. I love love love this series. While at work I heard that there was another book out that had the DYSOTOPIAN vibe to it and of course jumped into this book. It was Matched by Ally Condie. I purchased it on my kindle and was super excited... I finished it in a couple of hours. I totally digged it also BUT I noticed that there were alot of comparisons to Hunger Games. Ready to see?? Let us begin....

I loved these books, and there are probably so many more similarities between the two stories. I can't wait for the next book in the MATCHED series because I want to see where this author will take the story! November 2011 can't come soon enough!

I have been meaning to get on here and blog for days, I just get super duper distracted and forget that it is on my to do list. Disneyland... I know I know... I blog about Disney alot. BUT this was a fantastic trip to DISNEY! We had so much fun! Ivy got to compete in Nationals for POM and WE (the fam) got to go to DISNEYLAND because her competition was in ANAHEIM! Get ready for the best picture overload of your life!

The last night we were at Disneyland I had the three youngest SIBs. We decided to ride Matterhorn. It wasnt a bad wait so we got onto the ride in decent time. In riding MATTERHORN a couple times I notcied that this ride was a lot faster then the norm. About half way through the ride (or I guess you can say half way down the mountain) the ride stopped. Weird right??? We sat on the ride for about 10-15 minutes and THEN we were walked off the ride (through the center of the mountain! not as cool as you think... it is actually really dirty!) And the lady that walked us off they gave us a "front of the line" pass that allowed us to cut everyone. So OF COURSE we immediately run to space mountain and only wait 15 minutes instead of 70! yay baby!

So, it was my birthday, NO BIG DEAL.

I turned 24. NO BIG DEAL.

I didn't get my "check off one thing on my bucket list before I turn 24" goal achieved. BIG DEAL!!Total bummer that I slacked. haha BUT I am hoping to get it under control and get something knocked off my list! :)

I had a great Birthday weekend! I went to BJ's on Friday with some pals and then we went to the MOVIES and saw I am Number 4. I am in LOVE with Alex Pettyfer! I liked the movie and I wanna read the book!

Saturday I worked all day...I got a bottle of DIET COKE & a box of Krispie Kreme doughnuts from the girls at work. I then came home to go to Din-Din with my family at Olive Garden. After our dinner excursion I came home to watch megamind and eat a bomb FIREWORK birthday cake where my mom sang Katy Perry's Firework {alongside the traditional Happy Birthday Song}. So choice. because baby I am a firework... boom, boom, boom... brighter then the moon, moon, moon. don't be jealous.

I opened my birthday card to find a confirmation page for a pair of TOMS! {YAY}and Bedding from Anthroplogie! {double YAY} BEST BIRTHDAY WEEKEND EVER!

So the other day I was driving down the freeway. I was in a hurry and in the HOV lane... I had to slow down a considerate amount because I came upon a truck (blue, Chevy silverado, probably an '06 model) and they were putt puttin'. I was sort of irritated because hi... I just had to slow down on the FREEWAY for this vehicle. I figured it was a SNOW BIRD... because lets get real... they are ALL OVER THE VALLEY right now. I mean EVERYWHERE. When I got up to the truck, because Yes, I totally got close to their rear-end, I saw they had a bumper sticker on their window that said ;

You are kidding me, right? You do NOT drive like a Cullen. I am not a huge fan, and I don't get all obsessive about the Twilight series but what an INSULT! So when the opportunity came I passed them and turned to them as I was even with the driver and said

"You don't drive like a CULLEN, LIAR!"

I felt great once I was ahead of them and was able to continue at the speed I like. When I thought back to the experience later that day... I couldn't help but laugh and I was NOT about to pass up the chance to blog about it. Life is too funny!

p.s. it wasn't a snowbird... although THAT would have been funny!

I thought she was annoying and couldn't really sing...

BUT once I started to listen to her lyrics I started to fall for her music.

T. Swift, I realized, was the artist for all the songs

that are the "Underdog Anthems" for our generation!

She provides the songs that allow us to BELT out loud what our hearts have been waiting to say... she provides the words we couldn't form ourselves.

BIG GIRL JOB? check!

So I just wanted to update on my "New Year, New Rules" post.

I have completed the following :

beat angry birds
read books
get big girl job

1.) I beat the angry birds on my phone. I was super excited. I know right? I am a total nerd. But I gladly walk around with the nerd herd who plays Angry Birds.

BUT... ask me how upset I was when I found out they added more levels onto the game AFTER I had complete it? (VERY UPSET!) -----> :(So now I am back to square one... trying to beat
angry birds!

2.) I just finished reading a book from 'The Pioneer Woman" called Black High Heel to Tractor Wheels.

It is the story of a city woman who falls in love with a cowboy and gives up her lifestyle to marry her man! It is a true story and this woman really know how to tell a story! She has an awesome website that is posted below. Check her out you won't be disappointed!

Bucket List

I have only 24 days until I turn 24.

I am sort of freaking out here. Where am I going with my life... will I ever "grow up"... will I ever accomplish all the things on my bucket list... these are on my mind as I inch closer to the age 24. I know most people are like "You're still a baby, you are so young!". Let's get real. The average life expectancy of Americans is 74-78. SO lets just say I live to be 74 (right in the middle). Squirrels in my PANTS!

I love squirrels. Once upon a time when I went to EFY there was an instructor who told some story about his wife and she woke up and had Stinky breath and started talking to him and he made mention that she had "squirrel breath". Actually he said "WHhhoooaaa, your breath smells like SQUIRREL!" From then on my obsession with squirrels began!

I also have the BEST story in regards to squirrels from when I went to EA.

On a Sunday afternoon I went with other "students" from the institute to a nursing home to sing hymns and visit with the older folks. We drove over to the home and I was with the first group to arrive. We went up to the door (it was an automatic sliding door) and stood. I assumed it'd be like at Wal-Mart and open when we got to it... but it didn't. We stood there looking like fools trying to get the door to open... I guess the lady at the front had to open it to keep the patients in and strangers out. The front receptionist let us in (the first group) and we waited in the lobby. Soon the other groups started to arrive and were standing... DUMBFOUNDED at the door trying to get in. It took them a while before the kind lady at the front let them in. When the group came in they asked why it wouldn't open... and I replied in all my glory...

" You have to push it because of the squirrels."

I was making it up as I was going... SQUIRRELS? Are there even squirrels in Thatcher? I don't even know. I thought that I was SOOoOoOOoOooo funny. The story gets better though.

A handful of the people that had come in looked straight at me and replied, (are you ready for this?)

"Oh, squirrels. That makes sense."

GOLDEN.

"oh, squirrels. That makes sense..." Does it? Does it really?

Anyways... I love squirrels. Not real live ones but the ones we can laugh about and not be terrified they're gonna give us rabies or steal our nuts.

Our family just got a cute little dog and her name is Gypsy. She is the devil dog but we love her anyway. She is always cracking us up.

I love to make these easy cookies from cake mix.

Ingredients: 1 Chocolate Cake Mix, 1 Bag of Reese's Miniatures, 2 Eggs, & 1/3 cup vegetable oil.

Directions: Mix cake mix, eggs, and oil in a bowl until dissolved. Make balls out of dough and place an unwrapped reese's into middle covering edges of reese's. place on ungreased baking sheet for 9-10 minutes at 350 degrees. Makes quick and easy DELICIOUS cookies. enJOY.

Halloween weekend I went to Thatnasty to visit my dear friend Jenny. while there we carved this super cute pumpkin!

We went to their Trunk or Treat and Jenny & I were Witches and Brighty was a cute little fairy!

I made this scrumptious caramel apple that my dad is devouring.

I also made these yummy apples that I scooped out the centers of and added nuts, cinnamon, oats and sugar to with some butter. It was delicious. I also added a scoop of Ice Cream and had the best desert of the month.

While I was watching the The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown I decided to carve this pumpkin. I was kind of impressed because I usually totally ruin my pumps and make them SUPER ugly. This one make momma proud. :)

In October I wanted so badly to go to DISNEYLAND. A friend of mine had just gone and had an EXTRA one day park hopper pass and offered it to anyone who wanted! I jumped on that opportunity! Allie and I were planning on going on a 24 hour disney trip. The moment I picked up the ticket my friends called and invited me to go to Disneyland with them and so Allie & I decided that would be a better trip.

The siblings have been on October break.

We were gonna do Disney but it didn't happen.

It's really warm right now and so the Lamb girls and the girls from my family went to

the Salt River and went TUBING...

in OCTOBER.

It's fall and we're still having summer fun.

Arizona... let's get with the program.

But it was fun, I had never been before.
Definitely a great activity and now I'm tan again for fall. SUH-WEET.

So, for 6 years I drove an Indigo Blue PT Cruiser. It was MY car and it was a gift from the parentals for Christmas when I was a senior in HS. I was so excited for a car. It served me well driving around good old QC and even went with me when I went away to school in Thatcher. Everyone knew it was me because of the BIG dent in the back (from an accident in my own drive way... oops!) It served me well getting me to work and school and driving me to the movies and the mall (i love the mall). Her name was Darla and she was a great first car for me.

Well somewhere in my ownership of Darla she became UN-cool. (somehow my sister who is 7 years younger decided Darla was a pt loser and didn't have any street cred.) While out on the road... people didn't respect the PT. Other Drivers would pass her like she was some nuisance on the road and would drive pass like I was a SNOW BIRD or something, even though I was keeping up with them on highway. FOR REALS. No one else in my family would drive her, she sort of died on us on our drive to California this summer (that post is in my June posts) and it was time to retire Darla form duty.

I have been looking at cars for a while. Let's be real cars are EXPENSIVE. So finding one in my budget and finding one with the stamp of approval from Father was a process. BUT we found one. She is a beaut! She drives nice, looks nice and was affordable! :)

In lieu of Diet Coke I have filled my time and life with better things.

i.e. HOBBY LOBBY.
I love crafts. SO i find myself here ALOT. yep. COSTA VIDA.
I didn't get my curvy lady lumps from running on a treadmill and starving myself. I got them from eating.... and eating YUMMY food. I love the sweet pork salad with chipotle ranch. delicioso!

Here is an example of the crafts I've been getting on since trying to rid myself of the diet coke poison. Instead of rotting my insides and staining my teeth I have taken to making cute flowers to put on cardigans (articardis) and headbands and purses etc. be jealous.

ok, this is just because everyone else seems to be OBSESSED with cupcakes and i'm a total follower.... I LOVE CUPCAKES (not really!)

I know I am an adult BUT at my house we watch alot of Disney channel.

reasons this is so:

1.) We have lots of kids.... ranging in all ages.... so Disney Channel is a station we can watch and not have to worry something inappropriate will happen and have to cover someone's eyes & ears. win/win for the family... alll age appropriate shows and movies.

2.) Some of the shows really are funny. ex. Sonny with a Chance and Good Luck Charlie. I am always laughing when these shows are on. Good clean humor. A-O-K!

3.) CDC- What a babe.

4.) Let's face it... we are a DISNEY obsessed family. :)

5.) What else is on? (besides Glee, and greys anatomy? which I usually watch online so my family isn't subjected to it's filth?)

To redeem our LP trip we went to San Diego for a few days. We stayed right on PB. (pacific beach for those of you who aren't locals). We had a lot of fun just relaxing, playing on the beach, going to Sea World, and watching TCM til' the wee hours of the morning! I promise I was there... I just was the photographer, therefore not photographed very much.

I don't want to really spend much time blogging about LP. It was an adventurous trip but it was kind of a nightmare! The girls got in a jet ski accident. The parentals had to take them to the page hospital. everyone was just really bruised, they're doing great now.

The boat broke down while we were still on water and on our way home the trailer broke.

SO... like i said ... it was an adventurous trip!

Glad we made it home alive.

I have neglected my blog for FAR too long!

HERE I AM! &&& I have FINISHED beauty school! YAY! After beauty school grad I went to CALIfornia with Nick & Joshua Larry. We drove my little BLUE pt cruiser to SIX FLAGS..... and we had fun. Mainly we enJOYed lots o' whiplashing roller coasters and running around. :)
We even got to see/meet/take photos with: SPEEDY gonzalez, Tweety bird, Sylvester the cat && last but not least.... Bugs Bunny. (i know right!)

After our exciting day at six flags we began our drive home to good old AZ... then the REAL adventure began!!!! While on the 10 my cute little car started acting up. && SHE BROKE DOWN! While Nick was driving in bumper to bumper traffic. (mind you... this was the Friday beginning labor day weekend... perfect timing, no?) Thanks to the expert advice of Joshua Larry we were able to get off the freeway and stop at the closest MCDONALDS ( i needed my Diet Coke anyway - win/win) We call mom & dad... fweaking OUT! (ps- i have no $$$.... nick has no $$$ and joshua larry had just paid for our hotel so he gots no $$$ either) My dad asks us where we are... I have NO answer. I don't know where we are.... california??? so we ask the peeps inside mickeyd's and they tell us we are in a town called FONTANA, CA.

We take our car to pep boys.... they tell us it is gonna be awhile and they send us on our way and tell us "have fun in Fontana". We find TOYS R' US nearby and play inside for a while, purchase some yo-yo's and wait, and wait and wait and WAIT. We did go to the movies to see Shrek while we waited. It was ok.

We get to the auto shop again and they tell us we need to leave the PT (her name is Darla) overnight and they'll continue working in the morning. I tell them that we don't have that option. Mom & Dad help us out, pay for our repairs and we head back home AGAINST what the dude at PEP BOYS sugests. (thank goodness for prayer & promptings) we knew we would make it . We left this town.... drove 6 hours and made it home around 3 am. we went to bed and a couple hours later MOM woke us up to go to Pinetop for Memorial Day Weekend. We rented out this nice little cabin, bbq'd, watched dad play softball, saw Letters to Juliet, played many rounds of Egyptian Rat Dance and BS, &&& just relaxed. :)

Now.... we leave for LAKE POWELL on Sunday-fathers day... it's gonna be GRAND! Can't wait! (hopefully i get along with everyone....)

Love & Pain

This last week was a hard week. I have not felt so much love and pain at the same time. My dear friend Debbie Benson passed away. I love her very much and even though I knew she was sick I never thought she'd leave this life so soon. I am so grateful that the Benson family shared their wonderful mother with me. I enjoyed many memories with that woman!

Debbie was such a wonderful woman of faith. She knew who Christ was and trusted in him. She lived everyday like it was the best day ever and made everybody's day special even when she wasn't feeling well. She was very courageous and her life is amazing to me. She had such a love for her life & her family. It helped me to appreciate my life even more.

Debbie's funeral was a true celebration of life and even though we are sad to see her leave.... We will see her again. I am so grateful for the knowledge of the Plan of Salvation. Even though I am not a member of her family... I am grateful for the knowledge of our human family and the connection we all have as Spirit brothers and sisters. I am grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who allowed Debbie Benson to live her life and to bless me.

I love the Benson family and am so grateful for their wonderful friendship.

I had to take a BIG test called Mock Boards at school on Tuesday && Wednesday. Basically it is a mock of the state board test so we are prepared for the REAL deal when we graduate.

I passed. (yay)

Now I am done with all of my testing at school. I just have to get all of my hours so I can get the HECK out of this town. I am not planning on leaving town ... just the Studio Academy of Beauty! ( the studio, the stuUUUuudiooooo)

On Thursday I went to see MARY POPPINS with my MOM!
I LOVED IT

I did get a little tummy ache from the use of strobe lights

&& from the nasty male dancers in their tight costumes.

No one wants to see that.

On Friday it was my actual BIRTHDAY! the day was pretty uneventful. I went to the suns game with DAD. the ticket said it was an 8:30 game BUT when we got there the game was 3 quarters in, HA. I guess TV dropped the game so it went back to regular start time... 7:00.... but we didn't know that. HAHA.... joke is on us i guess.

I have been blog stalking people like crazy today.... time escaped me! Then my mom passed through the room and told me to find something productive to do. I am going to go help her prune her plants. i think.

Last night I had to pay off my taxes. Last year I received a HUGE refund check. This year I eneded up owing MORE then my HUGE refund check. Being a grown up is stinky. SERIOUSLY!

I have been avoiding my blog for awhile because I felt like nothing was worth blogging about. I am in a funk, boy howdy! BUT I am getting ready to graduate in APRIL && can hardly wait. I love hair && I love the clientele I have built up at the school. I will be sad to leave some of them behind at the school :(.

My great grandma turned 90 this weekend! Insane right? I can't imagine living to be 90!!! I can't even to imagine living to 30! I am turning 23 this month and I feel, well , old.

Constant He Is...

I have had some great friends come into my life. But one thing I've learned is that they usually don't stick around. Life happens. Friends move away (or you move), other relationships happen (marriage), falling outs, new friends, crazy schedules, etc.! Family sometimes is the same way. They move out of state, you have falling outs, or they stray away. One thing that is ALWAYS constant is Jesus Christ. I, personally, can always rely on my Savior. He is my friend, my confidant && even when I ignore him for awhile HE is always, without a doubt, there for me with open arms. I know my Savior lives. I know he died for me. I know he has given me the Atonement so that I may repent of my sins, and find comfort through him. He has done all of these things because He LOVES me. He wants to see me succeed. He will do nothing but strengthen me. My Savior is my ultimate friend.

* A side note. I am grateful for all of the people my Heavenly Father puts into my path. I know the people I come to meet and enjoy earthly friendships with are not coincidental. They are here to help me, strengthen me, encourage and uplift me. I understand && am SO grateful for this gift He gives of friends && family. I also understand and am grateful for the Lord's timing in all things. He has a plan for each of us. He know when it's time to take someone out of our lives and even though friendships on earth aren't always constant... the Lord provides a way for us to have friends, whether it be through friends or Jesus Christ... WE ARE NEVER ALONE.

I know it's after the first of January.

BUT I didn't blog about our amazing Christmas!!!!

Obviously we went to Disneyland. fun.

We decorated the tree. (*trees, there is more than ONE!)

We made gingerbread houses.

We wrapped presents.

We OPENED presents!

We drank non-alcoholic eggnog.

We went Christmas shopping for eachother.

We had the Bowyer Christmas party at our casa Christmas EVE! ALL of the Grandkids were there for the first time in a couple of years.

We had BREAKfast for Christmas DINNER! YUM

We had the funnest White Elephant gift exchange at our fam party.... there was a LIVE Lobster && granny panties involved (thanks ty & janey).... want to know more???

A Thankful Heart

I was reading a friends blog, and she just listed (with some cute pics) some of the things she is thankful for! At the end of her post she challenged to think of all the things you are thankful for. I have been listing the things I am thankful for everyday this last week and found that there is so much the my Heavenly Father has blessed my little life with!

Here are some other things I am so thankful for:

1.) FAMILY: I LOVE LOVE LOVE my family. My parents are amazing and give me so much! I am grateful for their example & that they are sstill in love! (&&&& I am grateful they let me move back home a bajillion times!) I also have the best brothers and sisters!

2.)Friends!I have had wonderful friends, and some crappy ones too. I am still grateful for their influence in my life! It has made me grow as a person!

3.) Gospel! I am so grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ and for my membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am grateful for my ward family, my loving Bishopric and for my wonderful Relief Society! I am thankful for the knowledge I have of God's Plan of Happiness and that we have the ability to attend the Temple, make covenants with God, and seal our families together for eternity!

4.) School! I am so graeful for the opportunity I have to gain an education, and futher my knowledge in both academics and spiritual aspects. I love the Insitutute and am so grateful that it has been put together, it is where I have made many friends!

This is harder to do than you think, I am so gratful for so many things and it is hard to put into words ALL that I am gratful for.

I am grateful for my health, my car, my job, my home, food, all of my senses and that I can read! I am grateful for Jesus Christ, My Savior and friend. I am gratful I can worship with music, I am gratful for my talents and for the many opportunities the Lord has provided that I may further expand my talents. I am thankful for my cozy bed, I am grateful for Hawaii and the besties I made there. I am grateful for the people my Heavenly Father has put in my life who help me stretch and grow and become a better person! I am grateful for my hands, and my feet. I am grateful for my pioneer heritage and I am grateful for lives they lived that allows me to have all that I do today. I am grateful for the encouragment that many leaders, friends and family (& family friends) give me daily to just get through each day! I am gratful for the Scriptures and for the nuggets of truth I can find in them everyday!

I really am so excited it is NOVEMBER! The real holiday festivities can now begin! I LOVE IT!

As you noticed form my last post, I am not that big of a fan of Halloween. I DO like the fall season.. I'm just not too fond of Halloween. BUT the real holiday's are within grasp! Is Christmas music on 99.9 yet? Probably. I LOVE IT!

Halloween was ok. I had a couple of parties to attend, missed some BUT the one's I did go to were fun. First off was a YSA (yes, I am still single.) activity. It was a dance. I didn't dress up BUT I had fun anyways. I danced my little heart out to the usual YMCA, Dancing Queen, Cha-Cha slide etc.... I also had a ward Halloween party. FUN! I love my ward. I won a contest.... the "Jonas Brothers Ring Contest" I was blindfolded and had to put a sticker as close as I could to the ring finger of a JOBRO on a poster. I won a ring-pop. How cool am I? I get to marry a JOBRO. yay me. :) I dressed up as Tigerlilly. Shredded T-shirt and feathers, and a little bit of war paint.
This weekend, on the actual day of Halloween I went to the Annual Halloween Trick-or-Treat bash at the Hunt's. I got to pass out loads of candy to kids dressed up. HOW FUN. Shortly after that I went to another YSA (still single) activity. There was this random Haunted House inside the church. (is that allowed?? ha) It wasn't really scary, but I don't do haunted ANYTHING. I did wet my pants, but just a little bit. I danced a little and met up with old friends. (Did I mention I wasn't dressed up? everyone asked me "what are you?" and I said "A Sydney".) How fun.

Thank goodness it's all over! YAY for the REAL HOLIDAYS!!!

Anyone see Where The Wild Things Are? I heard it wasn't that good, and I am afraid to spend $10 on a movie that I will be disappointed with. You know what I am saying?

Today me &&& momma went to HOBBY LOBBY and had the most awesome trip EVER! I will post shortly all the fall/winter findings we found! I can't wait for her to decorate! YAY! & we went to this one store called Designer BLVD. OH MY CUTE! I found a great bag and a couple headbands to wear!

The Proposal is my NEW favorite movie. Seriouslyy, I think I have watched it four times this week! Call me pathetic, I don't even care!

Yesterday was my Dad's Birthday! (17th) He left to go hunting but I just wanted to give a shout out to him on his birfday!

BORED & TIRED on a Saturday night, I thought boring Saturday nights were only for Married couples and old spinsters.... hmmm, I guess I fit the latter category now don't I?

I believe in staying away from drugs, although I am not much a fan of pugs. I would choose the pugs over drugs... would you?

I hate cats. (I hate most animals actually, except my two dogs Chanel and Scout. They were good dogs.... RIP Scouty, and COCO Chanel..... if you are in heaven RIP too, if not, I hope you're enjoying life being called Nelly) ANYWAYS, I thought this picture was totally rad. Mostly I liked the dudes SOCKS....

You know, I think these two are actually fighting. Sort of like R.I.T.C. (rage in the cage, for those of you who are not attending the studio academy of beauty located in the heart of chandler in the waterfall plaza NEXT to a rage in the cage location where all the cool guys go to fight in a cage becase they think they're totally bomb.com, is a training center where people learn to fight in a cage. K?) but really do you see the mad hops the kitty has? I totally think he is going to win. hands down he has more talent then the fruit guy with the socks.... BTW I still totally dig the socks, even though I am dissing the person WEARING them. :)

REASONS WHY I THINK KITTY CAT WILL WIN THIS RAGE IN THE CAGE MATCH:

1.) He is fierce because he belongs to the cat family.... I mean come on! He is related to The Tiger, The Cougar, The Bobcat, The Cheetah, The Lion.... they are something fierce, NO? Sort of like Tyra on America's Next Top Model.... SEE? Are you imagining Tyra's FIERCE CAT EYES? Told you!

2.) He has CLAWS, but they only come out when he wants/needs them too. UNLESS his cruel owner "de-clawed him" ... && I bet he was dipped in some sort of liquid that makes his claws METAL, like WOLVERINE's claws! No fruity bed jumper with AWESOME socks could EVER beat a KITTY CAT With claws like THAT!

3.) He seems harmless but can go all CRAZY in this match... HELLO!!!!!!! have you ever heard of cat like reflexes? He will run CIRCLES around the competition.... they'll never know he is coming!! GO CAT! almost like cat kirk.... && if you don't know what I am talking about I suggest you check out Gilmore Girls Season Three Episode 52

(mostly anthro; pb; urban outfitters) I have found some funky stuff that makes me super excited to get started! I wish i had time to get it done TODAY! :)

i am into the mirrors, chandeliers, keys, birds, bright colors (think indian market), and i can hardly stand it!!!!!!!! YAY! Hopefully we can get started like ASAP ( my mom is the decorating genius and I can't wait to get her help!) It'll be amazing!

I didn't do much for labor day weekend but catching up on rest and movie watching. I had wanted to go to DISNEYLAND this weekend, and invited my sisters to go along and ALs showed much insterest! We were super excited to go! We waited for Ivy to get home from Swim practice to ask her if she wanted to go too, and she responded with "I already HAVE plans." I asked her where she was going and she informed me she was going to SHOWLOW with my family for my dad's softball tournament. SHOWLOW??????? Showlow over the HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH??? Who does that really? please tell me. She told me that people who choose Showlow over Disneyland are those who love the great outdoors, softball, friends and those who don't get along with their sisters. HOW RUDE! So I stayed home and the family went to showlow. Ivy had to pom at a football game saturday morning but then drove up with another family that afternoon. enough said anbout that. The first morning the family was gone Ivy woke me up to inform me that it was raining really hard. So I wake up and get Nick so we can check the windowwells for flooding. We checked them and it didn't look too bad.... but I called Dad just incase. He explained some things we needed to do if the windowells were to flood... and I didn't understand much. We are just about to not worry about it when we looked down one windowwell and find it is an inch from flooding into our home. AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Now it's time to get down to business. We franticly get a pump down there and have to watch it. It only "leaked" a little and after that it stopped raining!!!!! ADVENTURE OR WHAT?

Kiara came downn to visit for the weekend. It was good to see her! We went to her house for games and ended up making cookies and watching The Little Mermaid. ( Not my first choice but others voted, and sang along.) WE watched SNL & MADtv too.... hilarious!!!

Today I went to Michael's and bought some scrapbook paper to get all crafty since I NEVER have time for it. I enjoyed myself scrabooking and watching the toddlers and tiaras marathon. Those mom's make me sick to my stomach. haha

It's the Climb

I have been sick lately, allowing me to get caught up on my sleep and rest a bit. I didn't how much I needed it. I have been like the energizer bunny lately. :) I love school and I am so glad I have a job that is so flexible with my school schedule, but I can't deny that I get worn out and don't ever feel like I get a break! So taking one, even though I was sick, was a blessing! (In disguise!) I am so grateful for the Sabbath day, Heavenly Father definetly knew what he was doing when he rested on the seventh day!

I am looking forward to getting started on another week, rested and refreshed!

Today my cute little daddy was made Bishop of the new Pegasus Ward in the Queen Creek Arizona Stake. It was so cute to see my dad stand and be called Bishop Larson. I am excited for him to be able to serve the ward and the Lord.

Yesterday I went to Jenny's baby shower! It was so cute! Her cousin Bree made some of the cutest onezies with matching bows & feather headband clippies! Bree also made the most darling tutu! Loved it! Jenny is gonna have the best dressed baby girl EVER! Jenny looked so good! It was fun to see her and Natalie & Kassidy too! I enjoyed myself for the short time I was there! Congrats Jenny & Brigham!

Lean not unto thine own understanding.....

Last Saturday I had the opportunity to go the Temple to perform baptisms with my ward family. It was a great and satisfying day. While I was waiting to change I had the opportunity to visit with Desi and we talked about our lives and a little about our struggles. In talking with her I found we had a lot in common with giving all our hearts and not getting all of it back in return. She gave me a scripture to ponder and it is one that has given her the extra push she needs to make it though each day. It is found in the Book Of Mormon.

Alma 36:3

"And now, O my son Helaman, behold, thou art in thy youth, and therefore, I beseech of thee that thou wilt hear my words and learn of me; for I do know that whosoever shall put their trust in God shall be supported in their trials, and their troubles, and their afflictions, and shall be lifted up at the last day."

This scripture has become MY strength the last couple of days. It has been a source of comfort and has been testimony to me that the Lord is aware of us and LOVES US! He truly does! When Sunday approached and I attended Gospel Doctrine class the lesson was on Purpose, Afflictions and Promises. The scripture that Kami (she gave the lesson) put on the chalk board was.... ta-da.... Alma 36:3. I looked to Desi and she winked. The Lord knows of our needs and gives us the tools and friends we need to meet to make it through each day.

As I try to continue in my own progression I look around at those who I have come to know and wonder why they seem to be progressing farther or in different paths then myself. I had a dream the other night, I was running with lots of people.... maybe a marathon or something. Not sure exactly {I am not much of a runner so it was a strange dream ;) }
I was keeping up with everyone, trying to keep at the front of the pack. Soon enough everyone was flying by me. I started digging and trying my hardest to keep up but it was NOT happening. My legs were burning, I was sweating up a storm and I could hardly breath.

Sure enough I looked down and I was on a treadmill and everyone else was heading to the finish line. It was bizarre, but when I talked to my mom about it later.... she said she thinks it is because I feel like everyone else is getting farther ahead of me in life and I am trying to keep up with, but just can't. It's situations like these that I find strength and comfort and hope in the scriptures, on my knees, and at the Temple. The Lord gives us tools to get through the trials, because he wants us to draw closer to him and to rely on him. I don't know why I think I can do it on my own.

This last week has been quite the adventure! It was the first week on the floor and everyday I saw a client! I really enjoy making people feel good about themselves by doing their HAIR! now i need to find the time to do MY HAIR! yikes :)

Besides being busy on the floor at school I had an eventful weekend.

Friday: After work Ashley decided it would be fun to go SHOPPING!!!!!!!!!! ( i can never turn down a shopping date... NEVER!) So we went to Chandler Fashion Center and stopped by a couple of our favorite shops. I found the cutest dress at forever 21! I just love it! We sat in the food court and ate a cinnamon roll from Cinnabon and had an amazing talk about church things. I love that about my friendship with Ashley, even thought we belong to two different faiths, we still can talk openly and comfortably about our religion. I always enjoy spending time with Ashley! Later that night Mike & Max, Camry & Zach and Amarae came over to the house to watch a movie for Mike's birthday. Max had just returned from his mission in Brazil, so it was the first time I had got to see him. During the movie I feel asleep (shop til you drop... that's my motto) and I think so did everyone else. Alll in all it was a goodnight!

Saturday: School was grand, Ashley came in for a cut and color! Following school I had to set up for a huge YSA activity at the church building. We had it themed BLAST FROM THE PAST and everyone was to dress up from any era and have fun playing games from our childhood & dance! At first I was worried that no one would attend but towards the end it was a success! I loved being able to see all the friends I have made over the years that are spread out come together! SO FUN! After the big dancing palooza was finished I got to stick around and clean up. There were many who stayed to help that we were so appreciative of because we were all POOPED from dancing the night away!

Sunday: Bishop asked that I come and meet with him in the morning.... dun dun dunnnnnn... I knew I was getting a new calling. When all was said and done they released me from activities commitee and put me in as the compassionate service leader. Those two things (compassion and service) are the two biggest things I struggle with SO it will be a great experience to serve the ward. The Lord has something up his sleeve.... :) After church we had family dinner and I watched Twilight with Ivy. Everytime I watch that movie it gets more and more dumb. The end of the day I went over to the Peterson's for game night and we watched Brian Regan and jammed to the guitar.... and then monday came too fast!

Monday: I went to work. big whoop. But Monday night I sat and watched old movies with momma. it was fun. i love my mom. she makes me laugh.

Tuesday: I had school and work and later that night I had FHE. For the activity we made cars (out of cardboard boxes) and "drove" (pushed) them to the drive in. In the cultural hall we watched a movie called the "Phone Call". It was fun and my car made me laugh! Brandon helped me with the detailing on the car.

Today (wednesday): I woke up late so skipped out on school and now my family is going to the lake! YAY! I haven't been ALL SUMMER!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait! peace.

Nick is all graduated. He started college last week. I never thought I would be old enough to see my little brother attend college.... when I am not finished myself. Weird. Congrats Nick. I am proud of you! Keep on keeping on!

I cut all my hair off. Yeah, I don't know what I was thinking. But it's done and sometimes I like it, sorta. :) I am in beauty school... it comes with the territory!

I am keeping busy with school (I'm now on the floor!) and work. If you need a haircut, perm, color, or just want to come and support me....

I just finished up a week vacation at the Larson pool! (Couldn't afford a REAL vacation! Pathetic I know. I am over it.) It was nice not having too many commitments and just relaxing! I read a couple of books. Caught up on some ZZZZZ's and got a little tan!!! (ok sunburned.... but don't tell Dr. Wolk!)

Oh yeah and back in June my singles ward went to the Dbacks game... good times.
I have made some great friends in the ward. I really am glad I decided to move back to the QC.... even if it is a hecka drive to get anywhere!

The fam went to lake powell without me. :`( While they were gone I was in charge of taking care and watering my mother's plants. The blackberries didn't make it the 9 days they were gone. SORRY that I don't have a green thumb MOM! :) She was pretty cool about their death.... and that surprised me. We'll see if she leaves me to care for the plants again!

Happy Mother's Day MOMMY! I love you.

My Mom is amazing. I adore her. She is my best friend and I want to be like her when (or if) I am a mom!

Top Ten (think Letterman) Things I like about my mom: (Thanks Kristie! haha)

10. Sense of Humor: My mom can really make me laugh. One day ask me about William Wallace the talking goat!

9. Confidence: My mom makes me feel like I can accomplish anything and everything. She doesn't want me to hold back... and instills that feeling of confidence every girl needs to make it in this world!

8. Disneyland: My mom has a real appreciation for Disneyland. She isn't afraid to run down Main Street U.S.A. with me and really act like a kid. I love that about her!

7. Family: My mom doesn't let anything get in between her family. She let's us know that we are her everything.

6. Fights: My mom fights the fight. She can find the strength to turn around from the world and not allow Satan to pull her down.

5. Experience: My mom has experience in life, she leads us but also allows us to learn by trial and error.

4. Loves: My mom loves us. She loves me. She isn't afraid to let me know she loves me. She stops at nothing to give me what I need... whether it be love, time, help, a friend, discipline, etc.

3. Gardening: My mom has an appreciation for the earth and what she can cultivate from what the Lord has given her. She shows us provident living and allows us to assist her in that.

2. Beauty: My mom is beautiful. Inside AND out! Self Explanatory!

1. Christ: My mom loves the Savior. She understands the Atonement and can better prepare us to know how to come unto Christ. Throughtout her callings I have watched her grow and continue to learn more of the Gospel and in return teach US more about the gospel.

Busy... always busy! You know what I am saying? I keep putting items on my "honey to do list". Since I don't have my own Honey to do my list, it's not getting done. Oh look, I made a funny.

You would never believe that Hair School would produce homework... to do at home... but it does! It's not the "trim my doll head at home" kind of homework either! I am learning all about skin & nail disorders & diseases! (gross, right?Trust me I know).
I love my teacher, Ms. Kaye. She is hilarious! This lady has done SO many wonderful things with her life! Currently, aside from teaching us beauty schoolers, she volunteers to cut hair for hospice patients. Growing up she traveled as a ballet dancer around Europe and studied in New York. We connect on the performance AND hair level. Ms Kaye is inspiring!

This weekend I went with some friends (Kiara, Mike, Tyler, Zach, Camry and Amerae) to the Mae concert at the Clubhouse in Tempe. Mae performed with scent, visual stimulation and of course MUSIC! I forgot how much I enjoy their vocals! Mae's keyboardist is my hero. Seeing him last night made me swoon. After the concert we went to IHOP. It reminded me of High School. I am pretty sure that was the last time I had been to IHOP was High School. Conversation was light and fun. Company was enjoyable. It was great to spend time with old friends that I don't always get a chance to catch up with. Mike would agree that it was the most fun I have had in quite some time. I haven't stayed out that late in a very long time! It was refreshing. :) I didn't get any pictures... silly me.

I need some change to my daily/weekly routine. You'd be suprised at how mundane my life has become. (aside from the concert attendance... it pretty much is work, school, work, school, couple hours of sleep, school and etc.) If you have any ideas... please throw them out there! I would greatly appreciate it. It doesn't have to be life changing, it can be a simple thing that keeps your own life new and interesting. Thank you, thank you!

What's the most SWANKIFIED place in town?

It has come to pass! I have been to San Francisco and have seen WICKED! It was an amazing show. It was everything I had dreamed it would be and MORE! It makes me want to be out on the stage again! Everything about it was amazing... and I found myself almost crying many many times! LOVE it!

Visiting San Francisco for a day was AWESOME! I got a couple quick snap shots of Union Square ( whish I had time to shop!), and of the Golden Gate Bridge (next time I am wearing Tennis Shoes to walk across!). I can't wait to go again and take a couple days to really walk the town!

The most beautiful discovery true friends make is that they can grow separately without growing apart!

I love my two friends Kiara & Jenny! They are so wonderful! We have made changes and moved on with our lives... but when we get together we pick right up where we left off! I love that about our friendship.... and that is what makes us TRUE friends!

We got together tonight for a visit & went to dinner at Serrano's! It was a blast catching up and reminiscing! I adore these two so much! Great memories!

Life is zooming by. I started Hair school! It is so fun but harder then I expected it to be. I have fun at school & the girls are awesome! Work is great too, I go in everyday after school until 6 or 7, making my days long. When I get home I am usually pretty exhausted! So far so good!

Last weekend I went with a friend Ashley to see our friend Paige sing with Calbap Choir. It was held at Scottsdale Bible. I enjoyed it immensely! The music was wonderful & the choir was so talented! It was fun to experience a different faith's way of worship and faithful expression! I loved seeing Paige too! She is one awesome girl and I have enjoyed staying in touch with her from HS and also seeing the wonderful things she is doing with her life! It was a great experience!

Eli turned 6 this week! It is amazing to see him grow up and become such a big boy! When everyone wished him HAPPY BIRTHDAY he kept thanking everyone and it was sweet! I can't believe he is so old! like i said before... LIFE IS ZOOMING BY! but at least I am enJOYing it!

Wicked Birthday!

I turned 22 on the 26th. For my Birthday I didn't think that I would be getting anything because, well being older and wiser means not having little kid birthdays. (I don't know who thought that would fly... whatev) I woke up to my mother jumping on my bed and telling me to wake up. She handed me my "Birthday present", a scrolled up paper with a red ribbon. I oped it and it says flight to San Francisco for 3. (me, momma, pops) SWEET! I have never been to San Fran before! BUT WAIT! there is more... I go to the next page... double decker shuttle bus tickets! How rad right?!?!? WAIT WAIT WAIT.... the next page was tickets to the Orpehum to see.....

WICKED!

I know I am pretty excited. Thanks Mom & Dad for making this Birthday so memorable!

For my Birthday I went and had dinner with some friends & my roommates. My roommate Jen has the same birthday so we had a double trouble deal going on. It was fun. We went to Macaroni Grill. Delicious!
